Title | Forestry Survey Module |
Description | CIFOR in collaboration with a consortium led by FAO (but including World Bank LSMS, KNOWFOR partner PROFOR, IFRI) developed up-scaled forestry module (survey instruments). In February 2015, CIFOR led the pilot field-testing of these surveys (in 120 households in four villages in Indonesia), and provided a detailed assessment and suggestions for improvement. The forestry module is now being tested in Tanzania (and maybe Nepal) The aim of this principal activity is to mainstream the module into national surveys in different developing countries to enrich the evidence base on the contribution of forests and trees outside forests to household welfare at a national scale, creating a stronger evidence base to better inform policy and practice. |
