Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Technical Summary

The University of Oxford was awarded #2m towards the ongoing project to install a cyclotron and associated GMP facilities in the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust s (ORHT) new Cancer Hospital. There have been a number of major developments in Oxford recently, especially in cancer and particularly spearheaded by the research of the Oxford Cancer Imaging Centre (OCIC), to advance molecular imaging and to translate the fruits of that research to clinical practice. The pace of advance has meant that a cyclotron is now needed. The provision of this infrastructure was considered to be a very important development in Oxfords capability, particularly with regard to MRCs investments in cancer and imaging.
