CVR Reagent Repository

Lead Research Organisation: University of Glasgow
Department Name: UNLISTED

Abstract

The short-term output will be an internally-facing resource that ensures effective reagent tracking and storage location management of the unique research material generated in the CVR. By creating this resource, we will be ideally positioned to contribute reagents to the ‘MRC Reagents and Services’ distribution system proposed by MRC PPU

Technical Summary

We wish to create a CVR Reagent Repository that would centralise and consolidate the storage and tracking of currently informal collections of CVR reagents spread across multiple research groups with diverse interests and a range of viruses. Whilst the need to preserve and share research datasets for re-use is now well established, ensuring that materials such as virus isolates, cell lines, antibodies and unique plasmids are preserved and made available to the research community is also important to support reproducibility and further research.
