Description This was a grant to support a workshop to provide ideas for a NERC thematic programme. This was successful in that a proposal to NERC for a programme on rheology was put forward. Eventually many aspects were incorporated into the programme and funded.
Exploitation Route This is done via the new programme.

Description This was used to organise a community workshop to scope out ideas of how the deep Earth affects habitability, especially from the point of view of understanding rheology. This lead to development of a NERC Thematic Programme on "Volatiles, Geodynamics, and Solid Earth Control on the Habitabile Planet".
