| Description | Within the context of the time period studied in Great Britain,early-mid 2000s, we found that Search costs are relatively high, enabling wide price variations between suppliers. There is little evidence for the view that the supply market is becoming more competitive. The New Electricity Trading Arrangements reduced prices at the wholesale level but with no clear overall impact on final prices. |
