Abstract

Abstracts are not currently available in GtR for all funded research. This is normally because the abstract was not required at the time of proposal submission, but may be because it included sensitive information such as personal details.

Description We proved that it is possible to read out different parts of a CMOS at different rates and so avoid the extra read-out noise when having to read-out multiple times during an integration on a science target. Thus for the same length exposure we can then reach a higher dynamic ranges with CMOS than we can do currently with CMOS (or any CCD).
Exploitation Route Technology needs to be developed.
