ALMA Oxygen Sounder Work for ESO
Lead Research Organisation:
University of Cambridge
Department Name: Physics
Abstract
The ALMA project in Chile has a requirement to measure continuously the atmospheric temperature structure above the array in order to help calibrate the astronomical data. In this workpackage, we will specify the system required, aid ESO with procurement, help with the software development to read the data out from the system, and help with the scientific commissioning of the instrument in Chile.
