Abstract
It has recently been shown that certain ultracool dwarf stars emit radio bursts whose origin can be explained as a scaled-up version of the jovian auroral current system. This study will examine develop a computational model of Jupiter's magnetodisc and magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling current system to examine the magnetic field structures of rotationally-dominated ultra-cool dwarf magnetospheres. The project will go on to generalise the magnetodisc model to describe further astrophysical magnetosphere, such as those of accreting white dwarf stars.
