Abstract
Dijet events in pp collisions at s = 13 TeV are used to study the response of the ATLAS calorimeters using a momentum balance technique with 3.2 fb 1 of data. The results indicate that the jet response is understood to a level of < 2% in the central < 2:2 region, and to a level of 5% in the forward region < 4:9%. A new iterative extension to the procedure is studied as a method of reducing the uncertainties and ultimately found to not be usable.
