Title | Calibrated Sloan-band Catalogue of ~1.4 million M33 stars |
Description | A catalogue of almost 1.4 million stars in Messier 33 with Sloan g, r, and i-band magnitudes and various other photometric parameters. |
Type Of Material | Database/Collection of data |
Year Produced | 2018 |
Provided To Others? | Yes |
Impact | Empirical Sloan-band Leavitt Laws were created with the dataset and shown to be consistent with semi-empirical determinations in the literature. With the Leavitt Laws, a distance modulus of 24.57 was obtained for M33. By fitting Leavitt Laws to Cepheids binned into galactocentric annuli, a dependence between galactocentric radius and Cepheid brightnesses was observed and measured. An independent distance determination with the Tip of the Red Giant Branch method yields a distance that is compatible with that determined from Cepheids. |
Title | Calibrated Sloan-band M33 Photometry |
Description | A catalogue of over 500,000 stars in Messier 33 with Sloan g, r, and i-band magnitudes. |
Type Of Material | Database/Collection of data |
Year Produced | 2018 |
Provided To Others? | Yes |
Impact | Created a set of preliminary period-luminosity relations in the Sloan g, r, and i-band. |
