Spin currents in organic semiconductors

Abstract
The project aims to observe for the first time the spin Hall effect in an organic semiconductor. Several different experimental configurations will be explored using materials in which the strength of the spin-orbit coupling has been tuned by chemical substitution with heavy elements.
