Multi-sensor Data Fusion for Smart Cities

Abstract

The integration of real time information from the interned of things and multiple sensors offers the potential to transform how cities are run, to improve the quality of life and to make cities more efficient and sustainable. This PhD project will draw on the relevant academic literature and deploy cutting-edge analytical methods to explore how the use of social data and their combination with data from telecoms (e.g. Vodafone mobile phone data) and from ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) can be used to enrich the map context to improve the efficiency and resilience of Smart Cities.
