Exploration of dynamics of cosmic strings

Topological defects form in cosmological phase transitions in the Early Universe and can have a number of observational consequences. In order understand these observational effects it is necessary to understand the dynamical processes governing their evolution. The project will investigate the radiation from cosmic strings and whether vortons are produced during the evolution of cosmic string networks.
