High-Throughput Synthesis, Screening and Optimisation of Fe Catalysts in Industrially-Relevant Transformations

Lead Research Organisation: University of Leeds
Department Name: Sch of Chemistry

Abstract

This project will exploit a unique flow platform, developed as part of an EPSRC grant, for high-throughput synthesis, screening and optimisation of Fe catalysts in industrially relevant transformations, with Suzuki couplings and Buchwald/Ullmann aminations being a focus in this research. The ability to rapidly generate catalysts (using established electrochemical methods) with direct flow into a catalytic reactor, coupled with inline analysis and automated optimisation, will provide a holistic approach to profiling of catalyst activity leading to significant advances in Fe catalysis.
