Rational points through graded Lie algebras

Abstract
The aim of this project will be to extend partial results connecting descent calculations on algebraic curves with the theory of graded Lie algebras from the case of simply laced Lie algebras to the general case. This should have applications to the study of average sizes of Selmer groups and to machine computation of the Selmer group associated to a family of isogenies.
