Abstract

This PhD research aligns with EPSRC research area of Assistive technology, rehabilitation and musculoskeletal biomechanics as it aims to restore sensory, motor and cognitive functions of the affected patients with the sufferings mentioned above in the most minimal invasive manner and in most importantly, in the aim of providing rehabilitation at home. Furthermore, this PhD also aligns with EPRSC research area of Robotics as this PhD aims to invent safe, efficient and disruptive technologies and deliver intelligent therapeutic technologies that will assist both, disabled patients and astronauts in space under non-traditional and extreme environments. This PhD is expected to adopt a multi-disciplinary approach and aims to develop a framework that will not only assist other researchers and clinicians but also to improve co-ordination and collaboration.
