Mental Time Travel and Time Perception in Nonhuman Animals: A critical Approach
Lead Research Organisation:

Department Name: Student Financial Support
Abstract
This project will attempt a critical analysis of the data that has been produced within the last few decades regarding mental time travel in nonhuman animals. In doing so, it will challenge the scientific value of the experimental methods most predominantly employed in this area. It will analyse several experimental approaches, such as field experiments and lab experiments, their terminology and their methodology, in order to find shared theoretical premises for this empirical work whilst situating it within the debate on anthropomorphism. It will be a contribution to the fields of philosophy and comparative cognition studies, with an interdisciplinary approach.
