Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused major life disruption with studies showing a reduction in physical activity and increased levels of loneliness and social isolation, providing a natural experiment to see what role social factors played in supporting those who remained active. Understanding which factors influence behaviour and relate to the maintenance of PA behaviour is essential for developing interventions to support sustained physical activity.
