Cosmological correlators: a boundary perspective

Lead Research Organisation: University of Cambridge
Department Name: Applied Maths and Theoretical Physics

Abstract

Cosmological correlators are measured routinely in observations of galaxies and of the cosmic microwave background. The aim of this project is understand what set of rules these correlators need to be obey based on general principles such as unitarity and causality. The methodology consists in using so-called bulk calculation to derive a set of possible predictions and infer from those more general rules that boundary correlators need to obey but that are not manifest in the bulk calculation.
