Abstract

The chosen topic of research is the Eurocentric nature of International Relations theory, focusing specifically on the debates around the potential for "non-Western" IR theory. The historiography of IR places its roots in western thinking; this research will therefore go beyond the Western discipline of IR to expose oriental ways of thinking, with the aim of creating an Eastern approach to explaining the international.
