Abstract

The project is an experiment in the field of quantum optics where we aim to control light at the level of individual photons. Interactions between photons are mediated by the long-range dipolar interactions between highly-excited Rydberg atoms. The aim of the experiment is to achieve a better understanding of quantum many-body physics in the driven-dissipative regimes with a view to potential applications in sensing, communications and computing.
