The role of sleep and circadian rhythm disruption in bipolar disorder

Abstract

This DPhil will examine circadian anomalies and corresponding mood variability in offspring of bipolar parents, elucidate putative mechanisms linking sleep and emotion dysregulation and pilot a novel sleep and circadian-focused intervention for euthymic bipolar patients.
