Combinatorics, probability, and algorithms

Lead Research Organisation: University of Birmingham
Department Name: School of Mathematics

Abstract

I am generally interested in discrete mathematics, and in particular combinatorics and graph theory. In my undergraduate degree I have enjoyed topics in these areas including Ramsey theory, extremal graph theory, probabilistic methods, random graphs, and percolation. These themes serve as a good indication of the kinds of questions I would like to address in my PhD research at Birmingham.

I have proposed Deryk Osthus as a potential supervisor for my PhD, but I am also interested in being supervised by other members of the combinatorics, probability, and algorithms group.
