Differential TNF receptor signalling in the regulation and resolution of acute inflammation
Lead Research Organisation:
Imperial College London
Department Name: Surgery and Cancer
Abstract
The research involves the exploration of TNFR1 and TNFR2 signalling in acute inflammation, looking particularly at the roles of these receptors in the lung. Investigation on mechanisms of organ injury via TNFR1 signalling and whether inhibition of TNFR1 using a domain antibody can prevent the development of lung injury. Another aspect of the project includes investigation of downstream TNFR2 signalling and how it may provide protection to during inflammation.
