The interplay between financial markets, macroeconomic aggregates, and monetary policy.

My research investigates the interplay between financial markets, macroeconomic aggregates, and monetary policy. Specifically, I will use a setting for macroeconomic analysis emphasising the role of heterogeneity (i) to study the channels through which distress in credit markets affects the wider economy, (ii) characterise the effects of large-scale asset purchases on asset prices, economic activity, and inequality, and (iii) provide a quantitative account of the causes underlying wealth inequality.
