Alternative binders to simplify the recycling of lithium ion batteries

Abstract
My project aims to develop novel binder systems for use within lithium ion battery electrodes. These will be designed with recycling in mind in order to create easier delamination and subsequent recycling routes. I have been using water soluble polymers and additives to create electrode materials before determining their thermal and mechanical stabilities, morphologies and key electrochemical properties such as their electrical capacity and conductivity.
