Closed-path atom interferometry for investigations of gravity

Lead Research Organisation: Durham University
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

The planned project is a theoretical/numerical investigation of the possibility of using ultracold/Bose-Einstein condensed atoms in a closed-path configuration (avoinding the issues of e.g. interaction induced dispersion) to probe small-scale effects of gravitation, including in the context of general relativity (or beyond).
