Development of bioinspired nanomaterials from biomass
Lead Research Organisation:
Swansea University
Department Name: College of Science
Abstract
The project aims to develop bioinspired nanomaterials from biomass sources, using multiscale modelling and simulations. We will utilize a suite of computational techniques including Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations alongside newly developed machine learning algorithms to elucidate assembly and degradation mechanisms that control the experimental synthesis of the materials, mimicking natural processes.
