The impacts of gentrification on displaced people in São Paulo

The research aims to explore a gap on gentrification studies by better understanding the impacts of displacement on the conditions of poverty of the victims. To this end, it will be carried out an analysis of the gentrification process in the city of São Paulo. The research will focus on vulnerable groups and individuals displaced in two areas where this policy was implemented, to understand if gentrification has aggravated their poverty conditions, focusing not only on the income sphere, but in other dimensions of poverty.
