Point-of-care sensors for monitoring women's reproductive health

The proposed PhD project will produce an automated platform capable of screening at high throughput chemical changes from patients' samples to identify a potential diagnostic test for impaired endometrial function. Toward that goal, the main aims of this project are to:
i) assess temporal changes of target secreted proteins from patients' samples using standard chemical assays and correlate changes with impaired endometrial function,
ii) develop bespoke, low-cost sensors capable of rapidly monitoring changes in target protein concentrations and
iii) integrate those sensors into a miniaturised platform for automated processing and large-scale screening of patients' samples.
