Sculpted light fields for local control over utlracold atoms
Lead Research Organisation:

Abstract
Ultracold neutral atoms provide a leading candidate platform for analogue quantum simulation of several hundred particles already demonstrated. The main remaining challenge for the widespread application has been the lack of programmability- in particular the lack of control over the tunnelling elements. Within QCS, we are working on developing this critical capability.
