Galaxy cluster scaling relations

Lead Research Organisation: University of Bristol
Department Name: Physics

Abstract

This PhD project is based around the observational study of clusters of galaxies, primarily in the X-ray band. The primary aim of this PhD project is to investigate the correlations between the observed properties of clusters of galaxies at different wavelengths in order to test astrophysical feedback models, and improve our ability to measure the masses of galaxy clusters (a requirement for precision cosmology).
