Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials for OLED devices and towards electrically driven organic lasers

Lead Research Organisation: University of Glasgow
Department Name: School of Chemistry

Abstract

TADF materials represent a hot topic in organic electronics and such materials have revolutionised OLED technology with their high output efficiencies. In parallel, the attainment of organic lasers directly driven by electricity has been a long-term goal, yet unachieved, in laser technology. This programme of work will merge highly emissive materials designed for optically pumped lasers with TADF features to work towards organic devices that are activated directly by electrical energy.
