Modified Growth of Structure with DES

Abstract
The current project I am working on with Dr Alexandra Amon and Professor George Efstathiou:
Using data from the Dark Energy Survey (DES, of which I am now a part of), I am constraining the suppression of the matter power spectrum on non-linear cosmological scales to source a potential solution to the S8 tension.
This work builds on work from Amon & Efstathiou 2022, where they use data from the Kilo-Degree survey (KiDS) to constrain their 'Amod' parameter that characterises this suppression on non-linear scales. I constrain this parameter using data from DES.
I am also investigating the redshift dependence of this tension, and how the modified growth of structure influence's structure formation at low redshifts.
