Precision mapping of protein-protein interactions in living cells using radical trapping technology

Lead Research Organisation: University of Manchester
Department Name: Chemistry

Abstract

This proposal falls within Theme 1 of the Forward Look for UK Bioscience roadmap: advancing the frontiers of bioscience discovery. The proposed project will provide a transformative technology through a combined synthetic and chemical biology approach, leading to advanced tools for the mapping of protein-protein interactions. Furthermore, the new tools will be applied towards the mapping of protein-protein interactions involved in the DNA Damage Response, thus providing new valuable information towards understanding the rules of life, and potentially contributing towards healthy ageing objectives of the BBSRC.
