Intermittent fasting: A novel approach to promote healthy weight maintenance?
Lead Research Organisation:

Department Name: Experimental Psychology
Abstract
Intermittent fasting is becoming increasingly popular. However, very little is known about longer-term effects of fasting on dietary behaviour. Does fasting make dieting easier? Perhaps by changing our perception of appetite and the 'need' to eat at regular times of day? This project will explore these questions and consider ways in which even short periods of intermittent fasting might benefit healthy weight maintenance, both in children and their caregivers.
