Human-Centric Predictive Maintenance to Optimise Asset Performance in a Hydrogen Plant
Lead Research Organisation:
Swansea University
Department Name: College of Science
Abstract
Through the study and development of novel ML tools and workflows with 'humans (supervisors) in the loop' the project will achieve the following benefits for the sponsor organisation:
Increased operational efficiency by the implementation of the predictive model, minimising downtime and optimising asset performance
Operational cost reduction by preventing unexpected equipment failures reducing maintenance costs through predictive maintenance strategies.
Enhanced safety as predictive maintenance can help in identifying potential equipment failures before they occur
Environment benefits and support for Net Zero ambitions by optimising energy use and enabling more efficient hydrogen production.
