Next Generation Bio-Orthogonal Ynamine Reagents for the Preparation of Antibody-Drug Conjugates

Lead Research Organisation: University of Strathclyde
Department Name: Pure and Applied Chemistry

Abstract

The preparation of precisely functionalised small molecule lead compounds is essential part of the drug discovery pipeline. However, concomitant development of discretely functionalized bioconjugates have not developed to an equivalent level of sophistication. The objective of this studentship is to develop a new bio-orthogonal tagging methodology for the preparation of antibody-oligonucleotide bioconjugates. This studentship will involve a blend of synthetic chemistry, chemical biological probe design, and mass spectrometric -omics techniques.
