Abstract
It is proposed to perform wind tunnel experiments using advanced flow diagnostic
methods to obtain high-fidelity experimental data, in order to implement deep learning algorithms
and develop new data driven RANS and LES models. This work would be a great improvement
from the point of view of understanding turbulent flow over rough and porous surfaces, which
would benefit greatly from this analytical capacity. Furthermore, applying advanced technologies
and demonstrating that they are useful in dealing with the most complex problems may be a trend
that many researchers will follow.
