Abstract

My research interests lie within fluid dynamics and how it can be applied to biology(i.e. biofluids). My interest in fluid dynamics stemmed from my third year fluid dynamics modules. I found learning fluid dynamics fascinating and wanted to be able to learn as much as possible and the chance to contribute my own research to the field. This interest was confirmed during my third year group project where I looked at superhydrophobic surfaces and currently in my final year project where I am looking at viscous fingering. I also find biological aspects of mathematics exciting, being able to see how the maths (in this case fluid dynamics) is actually used in a biological system.
