A comparison of the sustainability of beef and sheep livestock systems across regenerative and conventional farms in Great Britain.

Lead Research Organisation: Royal Veterinary College
Department Name: Pathobiology and Population Sciences

Abstract

This research uses livestock as a central pillar and focus for creating more sustainable farming, which needs to enhance biodiversity, provide food, optimise land-use, be economically self-sustaining, and reduce disease, among many other factors. In sum, the aim of this research is to provide a better understanding of regenerative farms and how they perform compared to conventional farms across the measures of animal health, animal welfare, biodiversity, economics, and productivity
