Modular composition and the development of extended performance durations

Abstract
This project examines how extremes of scale affect compositional procedures and techniques within a modular composition framework. It will explore, through new versions of my modular composition (unassigned) and supporting analytical writing, the use of extended timescales in performance and the interface between concert and installation presentations of materials using live performers.
