Description | We have been able to create Schottky diode based frequency multipliers with excellent power conversion efficiency and high output powers. These will be useful generally as local oscillator sources for sub-millimetre wave heterodyne detection. In particular, success with a frequency doubler to 200 GHz was important in winning a UKSA grant to develop the GRaCE pulsed Doppler cloud radar, currently nearing completion. |
