| Results and Impact | In the radio interviews, particularly after the 15 minute studio interview with Jeremy Vine on BBC 2, there was a 'significant traffic' of responses (according to the programme producer). I would like to say that the responses from members of the public was supportive of my line of thinking, but unfortunately nearly of the callers thought that the person or persons who had set the school fire should be punished, and that my concern to make 'sense' of why people set fires was misguided. The radio interviews have, without fail, led to a number of calls and consultations (I would estimate in the region of 40 contacts). In some cases I have given advice, in other cases referalls which have led to interventions. |
