Solving fuel cell degradation issues to achieve high efficiency combined heat and power generation

Abstract

Develop understanding of ion transport in multilayer ceramic fuel cell materials, using isotope labelling and surface analysis. We will study Ceres Power's cells to gain control of the degradation processes, which is critical to market success. Imperial is a centre of excellence for these methods, so we can leverage existing expertise and equipment.
