Abstract
The project aims to advance fundamental knowledge in manufacturing technology of Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED). We will develop novel numerical models for additive manufacturing technology (inkjet Printing) of OLED to optimise and ultimately replace current techniques of vapour deposition. Light intensity and emission spectrum depends heavily on the thickness and homogenous distribution of the deposited layers of organic materials and Lattice Boltzmann method of droplets deposition modelling can model and optimise the deposit thickness during accelerated solvent evaporation in low pressure conditions.
