Lead Research Organisation:
Newcastle University
Department Name: Sch of Arts and Cultures
Abstract
This research will focus on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used to inform human creativity in creative design processes
through the development of visually interpretable creative support tools. It supports commercial aspects of cultural creativity
through its engagement with a creative agency partner, M&C Saatchi, who are the biggest Independent Creative Agency
Network in the world and a major player in the UK creative sector. The project applies existing AI work to new contexts within
design and responds to the Industrial Strategy through its unusual combination of key existing UK strengths in AI and the
creative industries.
