Abstract
This studentship aims to develop next generation, sustainable RNAi based biopesticides as alternatives to chemical insecticides. The overall aims of this studentship are to optimize the production and efficacy of dsRNA biopesticides. To achieve these aims it is proposed to use synthetic biology approaches to optimize dsRNA production in microbial systems.
