Macrophage WNT signalling in liver disease and regeneration

Lead Research Organisation: University of Edinburgh
Department Name: MRC Centre for Reproductive Health

Abstract

Hypothesis & Aims of the project:
Wnt signalling in macrophages can be modulated to improve tissue repair and reduce tumour load.
AIM 1. To investigate whether macrophage Wnt signalling is required for liver regeneration
AIM 2. To investigate the role of macrophage Wnt signalling in primary tumours and metastasis
AIM 3. To modulate Wnt signalling pathway in order to reprogram macrophages in repair and cancer
