Quantum Information Measurements in LHC Collider Events
Lead Research Organisation:

Abstract
The key objectives of Ivo's research are to develop quantum entanglement analyses on the ATLAS experiment. Specifically, he will join a search for Bell Inequality violation in Higgs decays as well as investigate if quantum information measurements are feasible in diboson signatures. The entire research project is novel and timely as this field of research is a very new one for hadron colliders and many of these topics have never been investigated before. Ivo's work will involve using machine learning to assist in the reconstruction of unstable particles in data, signal extraction from background noise in collider events, and state-of-the-art correction for detector effects using profile likelihood based unfolding.
